Had a FABULOUS run today! I was worried since my knees started to get a little tight and kind of bother me during my last long run I didn't know if they'd do the same this time. I took some Ibuprofen before I left just in case and I felt really good the whole time! I kept it right about a 10 min mile pace the whole time, sometimes 9 1/2 min miles and when I was hunting around the elementary school looking for a drinking fountain I slowed down and logged in one 12 minute mile. A few got up to 10 1/2 minutes, but the average came in at 10.3 minute miles! I think eating an energy bar about halfway really helped give me the boost to make it the last stretch. Water would have been nice, especially after eating the energy bar but the only option I could find was knocking on someones door and I didn't feel that desperate. I just popped in a new piece of gum and was fine. I did have one option and that was the gas station that I passed at mile two. I didn't really need a drink at that point so I just kept running. I wonder if people really carry water bottles or wear camel backs when they run this far.
On a different note, I lost a pound when I got on the scale this morning. Is it a result of eating a little more yesterday? I don't know. Curious to see how the next few days go. Maybe I'll even hit my 159 goal for Monday, wouldn't that be nice?

1 slice wheat bread with crunchy peanut butter
1 energy bar

2 cups pasta salad
1 BBQ chicken breast
1 light string cheese
20 oz water
10 almonds
1 apple
20 oz water
Breakfast burrito (3 eggs, 6 pepperonis, salsa, cheese, tortilla)
20 oz water
4 chocolate covered peanuts
bite of hubby's peanut butter bar
