Having a hard time figuring out how many exchanges things are on my meal plan that Tina gave me. When I wrote "3 proteins" that means 3 exchanges of protein which could be 1 stick of string cheese, 2 oz of Tuna and 1 egg (or 3 egg whites). An exchange is typically 1 ounce. So I found this website that gives a much more extensive list than the 8 ideas in each category that were on my sheet Tina made for me. Here is the link I found:
Here's another one:
and another (set up for printing):
It looks like these are set up for diabetics but I don't think there is a difference for non diabetics except that you might be eating different amounts of different things. This just gives you ideas of what different things count as.

Weight: 164.8 (hooray!)
Exercise:
ran 3 miles in 31 minutes
walked 1/2 mile at 10% incline
Food:
20 oz water
1 string cheese (protein & dairy)
2 eggs (2 protein)
1 slice wheat bread (starch)
1 pear (fruit)
8 oz water
3 almonds (protein & fat)
ham (protein)
apple (fruit)
string cheese (protein & dairy)
1/2 bagel (starch)
a few carrots (veggie)
20 oz water
Taco Soup (2 protein, dairy, starch, 3 veggie, fat)
8 oz water
1/2 bagel (starch)
carrots (veggie)

HOLY SMOKES!!! It was SO hard to eat all of that food! I missed the morning snack altogether because I was still so full from breakfast and I had my PM snack after dinner before bed for the same reason. I didn't get enough protein at lunch either I don't think but I feel like a pig. I don't think I'm going to be able to do this. Maybe I'll cut the exchanges in half but still get it all. So I'll to 1/2 an exchange of dairy, fruit and starch (each) and 1 1/2 exchanges of protein for breakfast. I was about to explode after eating my whole breakfast today. I was full after I ate my piece of toast, 1 egg, 1/4 string cheese and a few bites of the pear! I still had another egg and 3/4 of the cheese stick and almost a whole pear to eat! I asked specifically if I should still eat each of the things on the list even if I was full and she said, YES! Still skeptical. We shall see!
